Venice into Dolomites without going to Bolzano

I will be staying in Venice for 6 weeks this summer and am wondering if anyone knows of public transport options into the Dolomites immediately north of Venice. I have traveled in the past via Verano up to Bolzano and then into the Alp de Suissi but now would like to go to other areas more directly north of Venice. Also, I've been to Padova, Verona, Vincenza, and Ravenna. Are there any other spots within day trip public transit that come recommended? I know that as a nature lover, I will very much be looking forward to some day trips to feel the good earth....while running a bed and breakfast in Venezia.

Could take over 4 hours to get to Cortina. A train, then a bus, then another train, then another bus. Flixbus goes there, but only in the evening.

Two towns by train,Basso del Grappa 1 1/2 hrs and Conegliano 50 min.

To get to Cortina, there's an ATVO bus that takes 2 hours but this would be better done as an overnight as the return time would only give you 5 hours in the area.

Depart 7:50. Arrive 10:35

Return. 3:30- 6:15

Next morning D 10:00. A 12:40
