Venice in October

Greetings, I have a business/pleasure trip scheduled from the 11th to the 17th to Venice. I’d love some recommendations as to hiring a guide for a day. I’ve watched all the Rick Steves Shows and I’m sure if I go back and revisit them I can pull out some names. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I like Luisella Romeo (online at https://www.seevenice.it/en/). I don't know if she does full days, but she has several tours (and during COVID, live virtual walking tours too), plus some more in-depth specialized experiences. I was on 2 of her walking tours in 2019, and also did two of the virtual tours in the last year (which actually worked pretty well). She's a member of a professional guides association in Venice, you could look there for other guides and specialties you might also like. https://bestveniceguides.it/en/ Their blog has stories by some of the guides. I also visited Venice on a Rick Steves tour in 2000. That had a good guide too, but it's been too long for me to recommend (I can't even remember the guide's name).

These guides did a great job on our RS tour a few years ago, and apparently they'll do individual or customized tours for an hourly rate.
