We'll be in Venice in late-November and wonder if the weather curtails outside activities like evening music and fun in St. Marks' Square, outdoor dinners along the canals, and evening gondola rides. Anything else that we may miss because it is off season and there is cooler weather?
We did the Italy in 10 day tour the first two weeks of November 2007. The weather was GREAT!!!! Beautiful blue skies for the entire trip except for the last day...it was quite overcast most of that day. It rained for about 10 minutes when we were in the Vatican then blue skies afterwards. The only issue we has was that when we arrived in Venice to start our trip it was come kind of national holiday and it was PACKED!! Other than that we breezed through everything very easily. We did the RS tour and their guides know how to get you into everything with little or now wait. We saw David in Florence with only our tour group in the hall!!!! That's a fantastic feat~~~
You may need hip waders as this is about the time when the high tides start to come. December of last year was very, very bad.
Oh yeah, forgot. Venice floods about a hundred times a year and November, the month you're there, is one of the two months when the flooding is most frequent (the other is March).
