Venice in June?

ROME (AP) — The city of Venice confirmed Saturday it will host the wedding of multi-billionaire Jeff Bezos and fiancée Lauren Sanchez, denying reports the famous Italian city would be invaded by hundreds of celebrities and possible disruptions for citizens and tourists.
The city in a short statement didn’t give a date for the wedding. Italian media have reported it will be between June 24-26, with a few days of celebrations
.

Plan accordingly.

hey hey all
@joe32F
i read about this and it was an OMG moment, would not wanna be there at all, or even seeing either one of them. can't imagine what the grand canal would be like.
with all the billions he has, may close it down and his other bookoo billionaires rent everything.
go stay in another town or city outside of venice.
treviso sounds great to eat tiramisu where it's home to along with radicchio. take a prosecco road private tour.
thanks "mahalos" joe for your input

Venice in June? It will already be so crowded this Holy year in Italy that it will not make any difference for 99.9999% of us. Plus, how likely are any of us planning to stay and dine in the same places as JB and his friends? But please report back if you get a selfie with Jeff and his bride on a vaporetto.

Venice is always crowded during the season. The bigger problem is the day tourists. There are always big events in Venice, like the Art Biennale or the Film Biennale, which always attract a lot of celebrities. And the lagoon is big enough. There's even space for Bezos' superyacht.

I just read this also, and it does coincide with when we’ll be there. Ugh. I already booked a private water taxi from the airport…hopefully they don’t cancel in favor of only providing service for billionaires. And this might have made some decisions for me if places like Doges palace are impossible to get tickets for now.
