What time do the vaporetti shut down at night? I will be in Venice in October. Thank you.

Like London's bus system, there are "night route" vaporetti that run in the wee hours.

It varies according to route. Hours are posted and on printed schedules. We were out FAR and caught the last boat at midnight. If not, it would have been a long walk!!! Be especially careful if on an island where you can't walk back...where you'd have to call for water taxi, or, find a place to sleep over.
