We are traveling to Venice next September and there is 5 adults. We would love to stay in a suite style hotel if possible instead of having separate rooms. I am looking into Airbnb but does anyone have recommendations for hotels with suites in Venice.
A lot of hotels have small apartments either in the hotel or nearby. My favorite hotel has them.

Hotel Violino d'Oro, overlooking Campo Sam Moise, has family suites. my friend and i stayed in a junior suite, and it was excellent--clean, nice, and we had a large balcony overlooking the gondoliers..... we could hear them singing, which was cool! but it was also quiet when the windows were closed, and has decent a/c.
We stayed at Locanda San Barnaba in the Dorsoduro area and liked it very much. Although we had a double room, I believe they do have suites. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The hotel staff were excellent; they even prepared breakfast for us early (3:00 am) because we had to catch the 4:30 bus to the airport. The location was wonderful, just down the calle from Campo San Barnaba, a nice spot for an aperitivo, as well as dinner at Ristoteca Oniga. Here is a link to the locanda:

My family and friends (6 adults) traveled to Venice at the end of May this year and we tried to find a hotel that would accommodate all of us and while there were some good appartment options for hotels they were booked (5 months in advance) and could really only accommodate 4 people comfortably.
We decided on a flat in the Cannaregio district, only a five minute walk from the Rialto, but tucked into a small neighborhood. We rented through Truly Venice (after looking at Trip Advisor & Airbnb) primarily due to availability and amentities. Here is the link: https://www.trulyveniceapartments.com. I was delighted with the rental agency. They were professional, met us at the canal and walked us to the flat (we would not have easily found it), provided recommendations for local restaurants, shopping, and showed us the neighborhood. They were also really great when we left (we accidentally broke a dish and stain a bedspread), when we let them know, they said these were minor and don’t worry about it and we got our full deposit back.
I loved staying in the Cannaregio district, it was not far from the tourist attractions, but we were in an enclosed square, so the only traffic we got in our neighborhood was the local school children going to school in the morning and workers going for coffee at the shop around the corner.
Have a great trip,
Sandy
