Venice hotels close to transportation for seniors

Any recommendations for nice hotels very close to water transportation? The Hotel Campiello seems ideal but is it really more than a football field to walk? We are traveling with seniors in their 80s. Thank you.

Hotel Ca' Formenta is a 14 room 5 star hotel just 2-3 minute walk from Saint Mark's square and very close to the loading dock for the water boats. It is right near the canal, so you will have a gorgeous view.
