Looking for suggestions for hotels in Venice for 2 nights in September.
We stay in the Cannaregio area, on the quiet back canals, where there are no crowds, and one can take a sunset pix without anyone else in the frame. Yet, it's just a ten minute walk to the vaporetto stop on the Grand Canal.
We like Hotel Ai Mori D'Oriente- great service and has its own dock.
Safe travels!
We have always stayed in Cannaregio too but in apartments. We like the neighborhood feel there.
Hotel Al Codega.
It’s in a quiet courtyard 5 minutes from St. Marks square, so well located you can walk anywhere in Venice from there except San Giorgio Maggiore which is on another island with no bridge.
I also recommend Hotel al Codega. It was a lovely hotel with a great location. It is in a walled courtyard, so it was a !little hard to find. Look on You Tube for video directions! Well worth looking for!
Have stayed at Pensione Guerratto near Rialto Bridge a few times and like it very much. If you stay there, we can give some short cut directions that we use that saves a good bit of walking with the luggage.
Hotel Al Ponte Mocenigo
I like Hotel Le Isole
Pensione Guerrato - they often have apartments that they will make available. Never the same it seems, but the times we have used them they are great.
We had a lovely stay at Sina Palazzo Saint'Angelo - balcony room on the Grand Canal.
Another vote for the Pensione Guerrato. It was the tour hotel for our VFR Tour last October and very well located. As you're exiting the hotel, take 2 left turns and you're looking at the Rialto Bridge!
