Venice hotel that balances ease to airport with proximity to downtown for a great final night...

We will be traveling for two weeks from Lake Como through the Dolomites and have a 9:20 am flight out of Venice on our last day to fly home. I'm looking for a hotel for our last night that is convenient enough to Venice airport to make for a stress free trip to the airport for the somewhat early flight, but that is also convenient to downtown Venice for a great last afternoon/night in town. We've been to Venice before, so this isn't about seeing the sights for the first time. It's about trying to find that really nice hotel for the end of a really nice vacation that offer the best of both worlds - convenience to airport but easy access to a wonderful final night. Restaurant recommendations for the final night would also be appreciated. I would love for this to be a great end to (what I hope to be) an amazing trip. Huge thanks in advance!

Find a Hotel as near as possible to Piazzale Roma, like the hotel Papadopoli or the hotel Santa Chiara or anything that meets your desires in terms of price and amenities.

I don’t have restaurants to suggest in that area.

OR Google hotels that have their own dock, and travel to the airport by private water taxi.

hey hey bobl
i agree with @roberto, close to train station/piazzale roma. see the bus schedules or take a taxi to airport. also agree with CJean about a private water taxi (motoscafivenezia.it or venicelink.com for shared water taxi) what time of year is this trip?
we have stayed at an airport hotel for convenience with an early flight. you may need 2-3 hours for check in to airport flight, which is quite early usually venice flights will fly to another big city in europe for flight to USA, not many nonstop flights to USA. we have flown to heathrow or dublin for flight home, what is the time for transfers?
so many changes for good or bad even ugly with many travels nowdays, not to sound negative but it's out there. this past august i flew from SFO to lexington ky with stop at o'hare uuuggghhh then lexington to charlotte NC to SFO.. sounded crazy to me but my only options, plus charlotte is a busy airport, was shocked.
pack alot of patience, we picked up a sandwich or wrap from train station or airprort to take on plane. i have used booking.com to find hotel near train station, look at what's nearby for dinner, no recommendations and just booked it.
have a great and enjoyable trip.
