Venice Hotel Suggestion with balcony on canal

Hello Friends! I have been looking all over Trip Advisor on this site and every other site for the perfect spot in Venice. I don't want to spend more than $170 Euro/Night. I would like a balcony with a canal view. I found GioandGio B&B: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g187870-d1759611-Reviews-Gio_Gio_Bed_and_Breakfast-Venice_Veneto.html . Has anyone stayed here or been by it or familiar with the location? I've read some good recommendations from other posts on here for hotels in Venice, but they are out of my price range. Help! Thanks! Amy

Looks lovely, the area is nice.close in to stuff. Incidently the location on the tripadvisor map is not correct. Use the map on their own website or use google amps to look the address up. http://www.giogiovenice.com/

My daughter and I stayed in a beautiful B&B with our balcony on a canal, that was 5 min away from Piazza San Marco, that cost only about 95 euro per night breakfast included. The only downside was that there was no A/C which was pretty bad because it was in July. It depends on when you're going to be there. B&B San Marco

Al Ponte Mocenigo room 5 has a balcony over a tiny canal. the room was gorgeous. The hotel was very nice with great croissants adn cappuccino. It is very close to the San Stae water bus stop. I would stay there again. You can see my tripadvisor photos of room five. We went in December so our room was 120 euros. I am sure it is more in the high season. http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g187870-d558796-r90245054-Hotel_Al_Ponte_Mocenigo-Venice_Veneto.html#CHECK_RATES_CONT

I believe Al Ponte Mocenigo was recently at the top of a list of excellent, good-value-for-money accommodations in a travel publication. It is now #1 on Tripadvisor and people seem to love it. I hope they have a room for you, Amy. I've been looking at overall prices in Venice for this September and they seem very high. Trying to figure out why, I looked at events. It turns out this is a "Bienniale" year, with the art exposition going from June through November, and other event like a film festival occurring 31 August to 10 Sept. And then there's the historical Regatta on 4 Sept.
