hello, I am looking for a decent hotel for only 1 night. Close to cruise terminal would be a plus...thank you.

The Hilton Molino Stuckey is on the same canal as the cruise ships...Guidecca Canal. They offer a free water taxi/shuttle from the hotel's front door to the other side of the canal where your cruise ship will be.
We saw several cruise ship people there during our 3 night stay. It's a fancy and EXPENSIVE place to stay so use either Priceline or Hilton Points if you choose to book it.

I agree with Tim on the Hotel Molino Stuckey. It's a great stay. My wife and I stayed there during their grand opening in 2007. Fabulous.
