Have reservations at both Rezzonico and Al Piave for August. Both get great reviews, are recommended by RS, same nightly rate. Al Piave in a slightly more convenient location. Rezzonico on a side canal with a beautiful outdoor garden area. Which would you recommend and why? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
We visited Venice several months ago ,and since we stayed in one place , I cannot compare them . We loved Casa Rezzonico . Matteo was a kind host and he serves breakfast in the garden behind the building . We found the location quite convenient , a short walk to San Marco . The neighborhood is a very nice ,residential area at Campo St. Barnaba . We would go back there without a second thought . If you watch the 1955 film " Summertime " with Katharine Hepburn and Rossano Brazzi , the hotel is just a bit down the Fondamenta Gherardini where she falls into the canal .
