I made a reservation at one of the small places in Venice suggested in the guide via email, sent my credit card info to guarantee and can not get a confirmation. Is this typical of Venice?I haven't had a problem with Rome or Florence. I leave next week and am a little anxious about this

Noreen, if you have waited over 48 hours for a reply, I would say NO this is not typical of a RS property. Since you are on a short timeframe, you may want to send another e-mail to cancel your request and notify your credit card company. Suggest you select another property and start over unless you want to try telephone!

Telephone. Remember that its 6 hours later in Venice than EDT.

Try calling , remembering the time difference. IF you have the fax number, fax them a request and at the same time email again.
