Has anyone stayed at Villa Rosa Hotel in Venice? Planning to make reservation for staying before and after a cruise. I know I can check Tripadvisor but would love some first hand input from the folks here. TIA

With 300+ reviews of the hotel on TripAdvisor that would be my first choice for finding info about the Villa Rosa. Looks like it's very near the train station, gets lots of good reviews by established users and even reviews from people who are using it in connection with their cruise.

Look at booking.com for reviews from guests who have actually stayed there. Reviews seem to be mixed.

Unless being in very close proximity to the train station was the most important factor, I would look elsewhere. There are much more charming, not to mention quiet, parts of Venice to stay. Also, the food in that area is generally mediocre (at best) and expensive.
If you are staying more than just a couple nights either end of the cruise, you might want to consider and apartment...

Hotel AL Codega San Marco 4435, is a great find. Tucked away but well worth it. Recommended by RS. Affordable, clean, great spacious rooms by Italian standards, and fine breakfast.
