Leaving my hotel near the Rialto bridge to catch a 1240 flight to JFK on Tuesday May 2nd. It is my first time doing this. Should I get a water taxi or do Vaporettos go there? How early should I arrive at Marco Polo?

You could take a vaporetto to the Piazzale Roma, and then take a bus to the airport. For an international flight, 3 hours is recommended.

I took a water taxi in 2015 for an early flight out. It's the pricier option but was a lot of fun... especially early morning while the city was still asleep.

From the Rialto to Piazzle Roma is about 15 mins by Vaporetto, head to the bus stop and take the bus to the airport. 30 minutes. Arrive 2 1/2hrs. before.
