Venice - Hiking suggestions?

For the whole month of August I will be in Venice for work.

I will also have plenty of free time, so apart from sightseeing the city I would like to do some hiking.

Can anyone recommend some private groups hiking guide ?

I very much prefer to have the guide all to myself, no crowds.

No hiking in Venice per se, but if you're willing to venture out into the Veneto, or even a bit further to the Dolomites of Trentino-Alto Adige you will be spoiled for choice.

I second - if you can rent a car or take the train for a few days out of town - to head to the mountains. One of our visits to Venice was followed by us heading to Kastelruth for some great hikes up in the mountains. Alpe di Suisi - with a wonderful alpine plateau - was stunning and "easy", and a 3 or 4 hour trip from Venice, and then, of course, once you're up in the area, there will be countless hiking options nearby.

Lake Garda isn't awfully far either, and that will have some great hikes too.

The Alltrails website is free but I spring for the app subscription. Searchable hike database that you can customize by length, difficulty, type, scenery, etc, etc.
