Venice/ Guidecca

We’re staying at the Molino Stucky and I’m looking for recommendations for places to eat, please? Also, this may be a strange question but can I have some shoe recommendations for strolling Venice given the possibility of rising waters? Is it really necessary to consider footwear regarding the water? Tia!

The hotel has a shuttle to take you over to Venice and it runs all the time. That said, if you walk out of the hotel and turn right there are several really good restaurants. We ate at Ostaria Ae Botti twice and it was fantastic.

As for the shoes, I wouldn’t bring anything specifically for the water. If the water gets high there are places everywhere that you can buy the plastic shoe covers. Even when the water rises it’s usually pretty easy to avoid it.

We had a delicious lunch at Trattoria Ai Cacciatori on Giudecca several years ago. We had a table outside along the water with great views of Venice proper.
