Venice: Giudecca to Train Station

We've rented an apartment on Giudecca, next to the Hilton Hotel in the Molino Stuckey. We are flying into Venice and will take the Alilaguna Blue line right to the island but I'm not sure how to get from there to the train statioon when we laave, or how long it will take. I assume that there must be an easy way to get there for the benefit of the Hilton guests. ALso, anyone familiar with Giudecca restaurants that won't break the bank? THanks. Bob

You can take the vaporetto from the Sacca Fisola stop which is not too far from the Stuckey to the Ferrovia stop (the train station). It should take about 22 minutes. Speaking of the vaporetto, you might want to get a pass to cover the time you are in Venice. You will be riding the vaporetto at least twice a day to get to Venice proper and to get back to Guidecca at 6.50 euro a pop. Multihour passes can be purchased at a possible discount at www.veniceconnected.com

Thanks Ron. I was hoping to take the shuttle provided by the Hilton for it's guests and restuarant patrons. It goes from the Molino Stucky to near San Marco.

I was under the impression that the shuttle was only for guests registered at the Hilton. It stops once on the Zattere and then proceeds on to San Marco.
