We will be in traveling to Venice via train on Saturday through Monday, July 20-22, which also happens to be the Festival of the Redeemer. Right now, we are planning to catch the 9:30 train from Florence, which I think brings us to Venice around noon. Should we reserve seats on an earlier train because of the festival? Also, any suggestions on watching the fireworks? I've heard it's very crowded and the best place to be is on a boat. Anyone have experience with this who can offer some suggestions? This is our first trip to Italy!
