Are their parties, events that can be planned in advance that will make this experience more personal? My husband and I were in Venice for Carnivale 26 yrs. ago & are returning next March. We loved the beauty & fun of Carnivale we experienced in St. Mark’s Square. Any advice?

The parties/balls are expensive and you must have suitable costumes. You can rent them but be prepared for budget-busting prices.
