Venice - Florence - Rome with Four Kids - Tuscan Agriturismo? Grosseto?

Hi everyone,
We are taking our first international trip with our 4 kids this July. We fly into Venice and will stay there three nights. Our next stop is Florence, but not expecting our kids to enjoy spending day after day in museums...so I am wondering what do we see next? We had planned a day in Lucca and then had considered heading to the coast but hearing that Cinque Terra is overpopulated and not great for beaches. Next thought - an Agriturismo in Grosseto...but we would have to rent a car and then make the long drive to Rome afterwards...
What are your experiences/thoughts on Agriturismos in the Tuscany/Umbria region? Would our family be missing out by not seeing the sea? Are there any we can get to without a car (very large needed.)

This is so difficult...

Thanks for your input.

Sure agritourismo's in Tuscany are a great way to go for a family with kids. Get one, or a villa, with a pool.

Not far from Lucca is Villareggio and there you have fantastic beaches. It blends well with a day trip to Pisa. Play time in the ocean after a leaning tower might just be what the kids need. It worked for our family of 12.

Sorry, I just saw your question. Yes, here it is. They have several locations and we used Arnilu, just west of San Gimignano. It is rentable by the day and basically has hotel rooms, but we rented it for a week but we had 12 people, with 4 kids under 10 years old.
