We will be in Venice for 3 days at the end of the film festival. This is our first time to Italy and we already have hotel ressies. What will the crowds be like? Anything we should try to do/avoid in coordination with the festival? We are planning a day at the beach on the Lido. Thanks for your help!

If you have hotel reservations, you're set. If you want to do a day on the beach on the Lido, make reservations there also. Most of the close-in beach locations are private. The film festival is a crazy time, but won't interfere with your touring of Venice.
