I have read that the Venice Film Festival starting Sept 1-thru 11th. I am trying to get my hands on more information. Has anyone ever attented this evant.Seems pretty spectacular.Can you make reservations for one of the nights or is it by invitation only??

Hi Steve, thanks so much. It will be quite a trip for me....the Regatta and the film festival.
I wanted to get my hands on more reading material on Venice and Northern Italy in general. I ordered the 2010 Rick Steves ( have the 2007).I joined a few Italian web sites for their news and updates.
