Where to eat in Venice that is not overly touristy?
Ai Mercanti is excellent.
Also La Bitta in Dorsoduro.
I had great pizzas at Achiugheta not far from San Marco. Locals frequent it. The chef is from Sicily.
Best gelato - Suso.
We've eaten several times at a place In the Rialto Bridge area that surprisingly had very few tourist other than outselves. The name is Trattoria Da Marco Valla Fava on Calle Stagneri. It is a bit pricy so you might want to do lunch rather than dinner. Some of the best sea food ever!! Try to eat inside rather than outside. The place has been around at least 50 years so they must be doing it right. You should be able to google it and see if it holds any interest.
