Any suggestions for hotel near Marco Polo Airport for 1 night prior to early international flight? Probably need to leave hotel 4:00 am for 7:00 am flight.
There's a Marriott Courtyard five minutes from the airport , but the distance isn't walkable. Pre COVID, there was a shuttle, but you might be too early. Cab should be under 20 euros, because of the hour.
Safe travels.
We stayed at the Best Western Titian Inn Hotel Venice Airport in November 2021. The bus from P. Roma stops right at the hotel, and they have an inexpensive shuttle (takes just a few minutes) to the airport. They also start serving breakfast really early--4 a.m. if I recall correctly--for people with early flights. https://www.bestwestern.com/en_US/book/hotels-in-tessera/best-western-titian-inn-hotel-venice-airport/propertyCode.98334.html
We booked a transfer for June, so we could secure our pickup time. If you go on the airport website, they give you options and list transfer companies.
A tip: if you stay near the airport, see if you can store your luggage for a few hours after you check out of your accommodation in the old part of Venice. That's what we did, so we were able to spend more time sightseeing before heading to the airport hotel.
this seems to come up quite often, I guess all flights leave early

As far as I know there are no flights from Venice to the US besides NYC, so you first have to fly to a European hub. Europe-US flights usually leave in the morning or around lunchtime, so to avoid an overnight layover, you typically need to take one of the first flight of the day to the hub of your choice.
All flights do not leave early and they don’t only go to NYC
United has flights that leave around 11 direct to EWR
American has flights that leave at noon direct to PHL
I am sure there are others
Some of these are seasonal only
We flew VCE to IAD a few years ago- left about 11:30
I'm departing out of the Venice Marco Polo airport on a 9:45 am flight on April 24th. So was wondering how to get from our hotel in Venice to there and what the cost would be. Anyone familiar with logistics of leaving from the island and getting a boat to airport?
I suppose we could follow the suggestions and check out a day early and stay near the Airport... But I need to get moving on planning that.
