Hi folks: I just booked travel in Venice in early Feb and realized it's the Carnevale festival during that the time my husband and I will be there. Has anyone been to Venice during Carnevale? I'm wondering what to expect... Thanks!

It gives info on the 2006 Carnivale, don't know why they don't have 2007, but it will give you an idea of what kind of events to expect. I imagine you can Google for more information about this. I hope you go and let us all know how it was!

Yeah, Mardi Gras is much earlier this year than usual. I've heard that Venice gets kind of crazy during Carnevale because so many young people (foreigners, in particular) flood into the city to drink themselves stupid.
