Venice -> Dolomites->Florence(driving in last the 2 weeks of March)

Hello All -

I would like to drive from Venice to Dolomite's(spend 2 days) and then to Florence Area(spend 5 nights).
Please advice if driving would be an inconvenience during the last 2 weeks of March.

Is there a place that you would suggest where we could stay for 5 nights(would like a agriturismo) without changing hotels and visit Florence for a day and spend the rest of the time in small towns of Tuscany.

Thanks in Advance :)

the dolomites and the surrounding area of the alta badia and cortina d'ampezzo will likely still be covered in snow, and the shoulder seasons are tough in the dolomites, so it can still be very cold.
where are you looking to stay in the dolomites?

depending on the exact time of year, some agriturismos and/or bnb's in certain places may not be available, but late march should be okay, i think.

i would search through this site: http://www.agriturismo.it and go from there.

good luck!

Do you ski? Cortina d'Ampezzo will still have much snow in late March. We drove from Venice to Castlerotto by way of Cortina in mid-May and, though the roads were fine, the mountains still had a lot of snow on them. The drive on La Grande Strata delle Dolomiti was spectacular, however. Not to be missed if you have the opportunity.
