Hi.
I have the option to get the secret itineraries tour or the option to buy a ticket from their website for regular admission.
I hear the line gets long for buying tickets.
How is the line if you buy tickets in advance and pick a set time?
Are you still on the main tickets line, or do you go on a faster one?
I would rather just visit it myself without the tour, but if it saves a ton of time by doing that and not buying tickets in advance, I would do it.

Hello 1stTimeItaly, and welcome to the boards.
You can buy either a ticket for the Palace alone or for one of the tours. The tickets are timed entry so you show with your printed out ticket near your time and they will direct you to where you need to be. If you buy a tour it is pretty much the same but you wait for your group to assemble and get a guide.

The reality is all major sites have airport like security lines and "skip the line" options can never get you out of those. Timed tickets at attractions work well and usually run efficiently. They do this all the time so trust the system.
