There are links for buying tickets on the official St. Mark's website:

I'd consider the museum/loggia add-on a near-must. I also liked the highly ornamented Pala d'Oro.

If all the advance tickets are sold out for your day(s) in Venice, you have the option of standing in line to get in. I did that last September and--though the line looked terribly long--it only took about 30 minutes. That was the penalty for not planning ahead adequately.

For the next three weeks I only see tickets available on May 16 and May 18, and only for some afternoon time periods.

Hello russ.stegall, I would agree that the museum add-on to the Basilica ticket is worth it. Not only is it interesting you get additional upstairs views of the church itself and it gets you out on the rooftop with the view of the square and the Grand Canal. Unless you're really into altars I'd personally pass on the Pala d'Oro.

Once you get into the Basilica you can buy tickets at the turnstiles for the additional parts so I wouldn't sweat the decision too much.

Venice is amazing, enjoy,
