Question for all of you experienced travellers - hello everyone!
Our departure flight (coming back to Canada) is at 12:40pm on a Monday (July). Would it be better to stay in Venice the night before or the morning of that day is enough for us to make the flight coming (by train) from Verona?

You need to be in Venice the night before your flight.
You should be at VCE by about 9:30 am.

If you don’t want to stay in Venice you could consider staying in Padua, much closer and easy to get to VCE

Stay by the Venice airport, checking in late afternoon, then visit Venice by taking the inexpensive bus ride to Piazzale Roma and see Venice in the evening before taking the bus back to your airport hotel.

Actually I’d just stay in Venice rather than airport
You have time in the am to get there
Staying at airport means 2 extra treks to and from, more time and expense.
Get a hotel near train station
