We are staying in a Venice area hotel on a Trafalgar tour.
Can you do a one day tour to the Dolomites area from Venice?
Would love to see those mountains.

We went to Venice from the Dolomites as part of the Italy tour in April 2006. Loved it there. Don't know if it's worth it to leave Venice for the travel time, though, if you only have one day. Are you in Venice enough time to go to Burano? It is a wonderful boat ride from Venice, colorful village on waterways. It is known for lacemaking, but that is not the draw for me, it was the colorful buildings. If you are into glass, you could go to Murano, but I have heard it is not picturesque, just the glass factories. The best deals on glass can be had there, so I hear.
