Venice day 2 Day 8 Sistine Chapel and Vatican.

If I want to go to the church concert and Doge’s Palace, Vatican, Sistine Chapel. If I read the tour correctly these tours are not covered by RS Guide in VFR tour.

I am pretty sure I need to get tickets now for the June 3 trip. Any suggestions on companies who give tours. As you can tell I am a new traveler.

Thanks

The VFR tour will take you into the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica, all with a local guide. After showing you some highlights of the basilica, the guide will leave you there to see more if you want, or to see other things you may choose in Rome. I think the rest of that day is free.

The Doge's Palace in Venice isn't on the tour, but the local guide takes you into St. Mark's Basilica next door and leaves you there, with the rest of the day free. That means you can visit the palace whenever you're done in the basilica. You can save time buy getting your ticket ahead of time. I was in Vence the day before the tour started, and went to the less crowded Correr Museum, where I got a combination ticket that included the Doge's Palace. That allowed me to skip the line at the palace a couple of days later. I don't know whether that option is still available.

If your reference to "the church concert" means one of the evening concerts in Venice churches, you're on your own for that. You'll have at least one free evening in Venice, so you should be able to get that evening's ticket ahead of time. I didn't do this but I expect there's a website you can use.

Have a good time on this excellent tour.
