Venice & CT in February

I will be in Italy February 7 – 12 visiting Venice (2 nights) and Cinque Terre (3 nights). I would like to know about the weather in both cities during those dates and suggestions if the time allotment is about right or if I should reverse the time spent in both cities? Other travel arrangements have been made before and after the time spent in Italy and can only be in Italy during these dates.

There's been a lot of discussion here about the Cinque Terre in winter. Expect it to be cold and not very active. I would certainly want more time in Venice, which although also cold and wet, has more to see and do during the winter

The Cinque Terre is one of the warmest places in Italy in the winter. In February the air temperature could be 74 degrees F. at Montorosso (in the Cinque Terre). There could be rain, at any place in Europe, in February. I recommend be at a Cinque Terre village for 3 nights, and at Venice 2 nights.

I think many hotels/shops in the CT close in Feb. One of our fav restaurants in Vernazza the owners go to Sicily from Dec to March so other places must close too.
