Venice Connected on line transportation cards

Here's another tough one I'm having no luck with. Has anyone purchased Venice Connected Public transportation cards on-line? They used to be called "Venice Cards". I bought 72 hour transport passes but an unable to find out if I can pick them up before I'm ready to start using them. I want to get them while I'm at the train station the day I first arrive but not use them until a week later. With most passes you can do this but they state of their PNR confirmation date of pickup and first date of use as being the same. I also wondered if anyone has taken the Alilaguna waterbus to the airport. I can buy tickets online through Venice Connected but have the same problem with the dates. I want to pick them up when we first arrive. I know this is very specific but they don't respond to emails and I don't want to waste money on a worthless ticket. I also have the problem of an early morning flight so no T.I.s will be open early enough to buy the Alilaguna tickets if we have to wait. Vaporettos don't leave from our stop early enough to make the ATVO bus. Thanks!

AS steve has said I believe the passes need to start the day you pick then up. But there are several spots in Venice to pick them up.

The new ACTV website does not seem to have the night service vaporetto schedule loaded into the system. So the only thing that shows is normal day service which ends around midnight and doesn't start back up again until around 5:00am.

There is a night vaporetto route that fills in that gap. It basically runs a loop from the Lido to Venice facing the lagoon, up the Grand Canal to P.le Roma and then aournd by the Tronchetto to the Guideca Canal to the Lido again.

You can probably get to P.le Roma on it if you wish.

Here is a link to the night schedule starting at 4:00 that gets to P.le Roma at 04:30 and the first ATVO bus leaves at 05:00. I believe there is also an ACTV bus the departs at 04:40.

Thank you both for the advice and information. I appreciate it. It's a bummer that we have to leave before any of the offices open in the morning. It would be impossible to buy our Alilaguna tickets at that time of day, I'm sure.If we have to start using them the day we pick them up, we will have to pay for our own transportation to get to a Venice Connected Point since we will be at the cruise ship terminal and there is no office there. That's disappointing but I'm glad to know the truth of the matter. Steve, we won't be flying into Venice, we are arriving by train, taking a 7 day cruise and then staying in Venice afterwards. I will check that night Vaporetto schedule in hopes that we can get to the Piazzale Roma to catch the ATVO bus. The schedule I looked at did have early vaporettos but not leaving from San Marco or San Samuele, where we will be. I appreciate getting the correct one from you, Ron. Thanks!

Ron, you were right about the night vaporettos. I had forgotten all about the "N" line which is the night schedule. There is one from San Samuele leaving at 4:08AM. It's a bit early but the next one doesn't leave until 9:24AM. I think I'll wait a month and check again to see if there are more added to the schedule before deciding to do this or take the Alilaguna all the way to the airport. FYI: The Alilaguna website says you can purchase your tickets in advance and use anytime. I just can't figure out where yet. This is good info. for anyone else having to fly home early.
