On our tour last year with Alessandro there were two couples celebrating anniversaries, and one set of newlyweds. So Alessandro ran to a bar and came back with two more bottles of prosecco. How we all got home without falling into the canals, I'll never know.

Fun tour, I think. :-)

The tour last year was one of the highlights of the trip. Our college-aged girls are still talking about it. You will have to email him to book the tour.

It's about conviviality, stories, laughter, and wine. Lots and lots of wine. Oh, and cicchetti - little portions of food that are the specialty of many "bars" in Venice. During visits to four different "cicchetti bars" over three evening hours, Alessandro regales and imparts his wisdom, insight, jokes and understanding of life these days in Venice and in Italy. With some 6-14 other people, you eat and drink liberally in each establishment. And by the end of the night, you have a whole new group of best friends, and wind your way home, through the evening streets of Venice, well fed and well lubricated, with new insight about life in that amazing city. A few pictures are on www.schezzini.it

hey hey
@micheleroe
jmauldinuu describes what alessandro does to the "T", drinking wine, eating finger foods, history of venice. lots of fun and laughter plus meeting new friends you didn't know you'd have.
check out destination360.com (travel search cicchetti tour) which explains a lot about what goes on with the tour. email him and get info when he's available, i know he needs to have a minimum of people and he also does another tour. ask him when you email him. he's very prompt with his replies.
have fun and enjoy

We did his tour two years ago and it was a blast. Like some other people said prepared to drink a copious amount of wine. It was pouring down rain when we went on his tour but that didn’t hamper our fun.

It is fabulous and well worth emailing him and allowing time to do this! We have been three different times (with three different groups of friends/family) and it was different and super enjoyable every time.

I emailed Alessandro about a tour on Oct. 21 or 22; he still needs 4-6 more people for this. If you will be in Venice at that time, please consider contacting him so we can definitely do this at that time! thanks.
