We're headed to Venice in two weeks. Rick's guide refers to the Chorus Pass, which gets you into all the churches that charge, and says it's a good deal, but he never says where to get it. I just tried veniceconnected and they didn't recognize it. Does one get it at the TI?
You can buy one at any of the churches that are covered by it. It's very convenient.
Agree - we bought ours at the first church we went to and definitely got our money's worth. The artwork and sculpture in the churches is not to be missed!
Thanks a lot. We missed some churches last time and I'm looking forward to them.
Do note that there a many, many churches in Venice which do not participate, and many of them (most?) are free. We bought the card but did not get to many of the churches included. Might I suggest that when you arrive at a Chorus church you look at the list and compare that with your available time and preferences?
Here is a link to the Chorus association. http://www.chorusvenezia.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=37&Itemid=25&lang=en Click on the tab at the top that says churches for a list of the churches and a map. You can also buy online at this site. It is 3 uero for a single entrance, 10 euro for a pass to all churches.
And there's no reason to buy one in advance.
I just found out about this cool website on another travel forum. http://www.churchesofvenice.co.uk/ Also this one: http://www.slowtrav.com/blog/annienc/churches/
