I'll be in Venice 12-16 Feb and am trying to figure out where the water parade runs on the 12th. I've also heard there may be a second one on the 13th? I'm considering to switching to an airbnb that overlooks the grand canal, but obviously don't want to pay a premium if I'm not in the right spot.

Have you checked out the official website for the carnival?
it goes ahead, it will be down the Grand Canal and then into Rio Cannaregio for more festivities.
