Hotel recommendations please for a single woman traveller on a budget. I am willing to share a bath. Most important for me are cleanliness and location.
My schedule is flexible and I would like advice. I've been to Venice once before and I would like to go back for the first weekend of Carnevale. Tentatively I would stay 4 nights in Venice (arriving Thursday, leaving Monday?).
Last time, I stayed in the Dorsoduro and was very pleased with the location (not so much the hotel). I liked being in a quieter part of the city, but still very close to the Grand Canal. Will I be missing out on the "action" during Carnevale, though?
I have lots more questions, since the posters here gave me such excellent information and advice before my first Boot trip.
