My husband and I just returned from a fabulous trip to the Mediterranean. In Venice we wanted to watch a glass blowing demonstration which the RS guidebook mentioned, at the edge of St. Mark's Square. When we got to the spot, #139 Galleria San Marco - sadly we found it closed and vacant. So it looks like he is no longer in business.
However, a second thing we must mention is an incredible gelato place - 5 min walk from St. Mark's Square. We have had gelato all over Italy - Cinque Terre, Rome, Sorrento and VEnice but this place topped them all.
Venchi - calle dei Fabbri, #989. They are also a famous chocolate shop with an assortment of fine chocolates. Just ask for Venchi and people will direct you. Enjoy!

If you want changes made to the RS guidebook, you will need to contact the company directly - this is the forum for travelers, not RS personnel.

At the very bottom of this page, under Travel Help, there is a link to "Submit Book Feedback", and one purpose of that section is to provide updated information for the RS books, just like you are mentioning here.

Venchi is good and is in many other locations, too, including Roma, Firenze and Milano. They are expanding aroudn the world as well.
