I’m visiting Venice later this year, arriving 25th September, leaving 12th October, so I’ll have sixteen full days there. The main drawcard for me is the Architecture Biennale, which I have barely glimpsed on a previous visit.
I’ve spent a bit of time wandering the Arts Biennale, and found it difficult. Non-representational Art is a language that I don’t really speak, iconography that I just don’t “get”.
I’ll probably take a day trip to Padua in the time, maybe Verona for the Castel Vecchio museum, and maybe to Trieste, a city where I have never been. So all in all, it looks like a busy time.
I’ve hired an apartment via AirBnB, just near the Frari, hoping that the place lives up to the description and photographs.
.
There seems to be minimal info on the Biennale web site as to venues where installations will be displayed. Does anyone have any good info?
Also there will be a display of some sort at Forte Marghera, just on the land side from Venice. How might I get there by bus?
Thanks for your assistance.
