I will be in Venice from 5/3-5/6 this year and tried to book a room at Pensione Guerrato only to be informed that the hotel was booked but they had a 3rd floor apartment around Campo dei Frari and Campo San Polo. Does anyone know anything about this place?

I have never stayed at the apartment, although considering it for my next stay, but I have been very happy with the Pensione on several stays.

Our experience is the same as Nigel's. Never stayed at the apt. but very happy with several stays at the Pensione and wouldn't hesitate to stay at the apt.

Yes. I have seen the apartment and friends have stayed there. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there. I believe the third floor is the US fourth floor, so make sure that you are okay with the stairs.

Sorry. One of the reasons the hotel is booked during that time is that I will be there. I haven't stayed in one of their apartments, but based on my previous stay in their hotel I imagine it will be just fine.
