Any suggestions for an anniversary surprise in Venice? Something special that I can plan and make arrangements/reservations ahead of time. We are a family of four. Maybe an activity followed by a nice dinner? Concert?

Many nice restaurants, very fancy that you could reserve.
Might check to see if there's any music going when you're there.

After dinner have a sit down drink at one of the places at San Marco while the orchestra is playing. Maybe even do a little dancing. It's a bit pricy, but it's something everyone should do at least once in their life if not more. Everyone needs a little romance in their soul -- especially on an anniversary -- no matter what the cost.
