Does anybody have any recommendations on tour guides in either of these cities ? My vacations usually start on the wrong foot until we get our bearings on directions and sites and it makes for a bad start to a vacation.Just a note ...it's 99.9% my fault and i'm trying to stop it now before it begins !

Hello Patrick,
We used Laura Sabbadin last June in Venice and she was terrific with our famiy of 8. We adjusted the standard offering to accommodate our family of 8 (and varied ages - 14 to 75). She showed us Venice off-the-beaten path (as I requested) and arranged for a private water taxi down the Grand Canal for us. She was the best!

All their guides are Irish and full of humor! We enjoyed three tours with them and found their services to be reliable and commentary was engaging.
