Three of us will be traveling to Italy, Slovenia, and Croatia in May/June 2015. We're flying into and out of Marco Polo Airport. We may stay in Treviso our first night (and rent the car there). However, we have a 7:30am return flight at the end of our trip. We're looking for recommendations on where to stay the night before.

I spent my last night at my hotel in Venice, near San Marco, and caught the first boat to the airport. I made it to the airport in plenty of time for my flight leaving a few minutes before 7.

I agree with Sherry. That should be plenty of time to make your flight. We did it with a 6:00 flight and that was a different story.

Thank you for your suggestions. However, we were not planning on going "into Venice" since we had all been there a few years ago. And I did look up the Marriott - on the expensive side! I've always started looking in Mestre and there are a few hotels and B& Bs. Just wondering if anyone has stayed in that town?
