We're arriving from Prague on Alitalia in Venice at 6:40pm, and want to make a train connection from Venice-Mestre. Would like to know how much time to allow, assuming the plane lands on time, to allow to get baggage and then take transport from airpot to train station without excessive worry about missing the train. Is 2 hours enough time, or should we plan on a later train?

Seems like a valid question; I don't have the answer (but it sounds extremely tight- I assume that this is a train requiring reservations?) - bump. BUT - if you are taking a reservation required train why don't you just fly to wherever you are going in one hop (or even 2) from Prague?

I don't think two hours will be enough. You need at least half hour to get your luggage, trains/busses only run about every half hour (I believe), it is at least a 30 minute ride, so you got less than 30 minutes to spare for unforseable. I would give 3 to 4 hours.
