Venice Airport to Giudecca Stucky

I am arriving at the Venice airport around 5:30 PM and want to know the best way to get to Giudecca Stucky. The Alilaguna Linea Blu will take me there but it takes almost 1-3/4 hours. I am meeting people for dinner at 8 PM so I wanted to know if there a shorter/better way to get to Giudecca Stucky besides a water taxi? Let me know. Thanks,

You could take the No 5 bus to Piazzale Roma, then the No 4.1 boat to Palanca. The bus is 24 minute ride and the boat is just 11 minutes. The bus goes every 15 minutes and the boat is every 20 minutes. So conceivably, if every thing goes bad, and you just miss the bus and then just miss the 4.1, could take 70 minutes. And you still have to walk from Palanca to the hotel, about 300 yards.

Water taxi is looking better and better if you have an 8 pm dinner planned.

The hotel has this on its website:
DIRECTIONS FROM THE HOTEL STAFF
From the Airport: The Hilton Molino Stucky Venice hotel is 10 km from Marco Polo Venice airport (VCE)and can be reached by a regular bus to Piazzale Roma (bus station) and then by vaporetto water bus (1 hour) or the faster option, by private watertaxi.

One other thing to keep in mind against the Alilaguna boat is that the engine is VERY loud, the seating area smells of diesel fumes, and you sit down so low in the water that the view is kind of crappy. The vaporettos are much more pleasant.

We have used the Alilaguna service several times, enough times to be over it. Now for us, it is bus to P. Roma and then vaporetto from there. As advised above, take the 4.1 to Guidecca.
