I'm planning to take the Alilaguna boat from Venice's Marco Polo airport to the Zattere stop (one stop beyond San Marco). But I just read that this year you have to change to a different boat at San Marco to continue on to Dorsoduro. Is that true? The maps at the Alilaguna site don't indicate that is necessary, but they might be out of date. Thanks!
Where did you read that? It would be helpful to know so someone here could then verify it.
It was on the Reid's Italy website: http://www.reidsitaly.com/destinations/veneto/venice/transport/to_by_ship.html saying to get to the cruise terminal you had to change at San Marco. Maybe the boat that used to continue from San Marco to Zattere to Giudecca to the cruise terminal just omits the cruise terminal now? In that case, it would still work for me to get to Zattere. Thanks for any advice you can offer!
The website you referenced is not as up to date as the actual Alilaguna site. You should refer to the timetables at www.alilaguna.it alilaguna recently revised and consolidated some routes. You want Linea Blu and note that the early and the late runs do not stop at the Zattere stop. Before 08:45 and after 18:45 http://www.alilaguna.it/lineablu-eng.html
