You need to bus or taxi to Venice Mestre train station. There is a train that stops at Terme Euganee-Abano-Montegrotto near Abano Terme but you may need to close the distance by taxi depending on where you are going. The train from Venice Mestre to Terme Euganee-Abano-Montegrotto will take 25 or 45 minutes depending on which train you catch and seem to run every hour. There will be a taxi stand outside the train station.

Be sure you use the Italian names for cities "Venezia" for Venice, "Padova" for Padua when you search. Trenitalia - the Italian state run train company - has a convenient app for checking schedules and buying tickets. Tickets like these are local regionale tickets and don't need to be purchased ahead of time but just when you need them.
