What’s the best way to get from Venice Airport to Venice - Taxi or Uber?
Have fun finding roads in Venice :)
I appreciate your sense of humor.
You could take a taxi or bus to the Piazzale Roma, then a vaporetto to the closest stop to your lodgings.
Just water taxis
Or bus then vaporetto ( water bus) or Alilaguna boat
Don’t think Uber exists there as we know it
If you share where exactly your lodgings are we could be more specific
The two companies described here provide regular bus service between VCE and Piazzale Roma, which is as far as vehicles can go into Venice itself. I'd call them the best way, though a taxi would be a little faster. There are also water taxis from the airport to any location in Venice, at a very high cost. And the Alilaguna boat service, running between the airport and various stops in the city.
Them bus to P. Roma is pretty simple, takes you to the same point as a land taxi. Two bus lines run the route, both take about the same time.
ACTV is a normal commuter bus, you take your luggage on board with you.
ATVO is more a tour coach, luggage is under the floor.
Both are about the same cost, about 8 euro.
The water taxi from the airport in to Venice the very first time I went was like a fairytale. Surreal and just the way I dreamed about it since I was in high school. It will be a highlight of your trip if you haven't been!
