We have a 7:00AM flight out of Venice and are concerned about early transportation to the airport. We will be ending our Italy travels in Florence and will take a train trip to Venice to catch a flight the next day. We would like a recommendation about a hotel near the airport to make transportation easy on the morning of our flight. Also wondering if taxis, buses etc. are running at 5:00 AM.

With a 7:00am flight out of Venice Marco Polo, you are very wise to spend the previous night at the airport. There are a few hotels there of which two are 1) The Marriott Courtyard which is .8km from the airport. 132E/night. Not sure about shuttle and, 2) The Titian Inn Hotel and Residence.
